Project Overview

Through a multi-year rebuild of its main hospital kitchen, UTMB Galveston could not interrupt food service to a 9,000-person campus — every patient, staff and visitor meal had to continue, fully compliant.

What operators ask first

It depends on the size and complexity of your project. Standard production kitchen trailers can be delivered and operational within 7–30 days of contract signing. For larger multi-wide facilities, build time typically ranges from 30–90 days. In emergency situations, our Rapid Response Kitchen can be deployed in as little as 48 hours. Kitchen Corps manages the entire process — design, engineering, manufacturing, delivery, and on-site setup — from our plant in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Contact your Kitchen Corps representative to schedule a teardown. All utilities should remain connected and the facility fully operational until our team arrives. A KCI representative will conduct a full walk-through and equipment check with your staff. Once the checkout is complete, utilities are disconnected and our crew will unblock and remove the units from your site. Kitchen Corps handles all logistics — you just tell us when you’re ready.

Kitchen Corps builds every unit to meet all international building codes and guarantees that all facilities will pass any health inspection. Your organization is responsible for obtaining local and state permits and coordinating with utility companies for final connections of electricity, gas, water, and sewage. Kitchen Corps provides all necessary engineering documentation, site drawings, and proof of insurance to support your permitting process.

Yes. Every project is different and Kitchen Corps provides customized temporary kitchen solutions for all clients. Our design team will review your food service requirements — number of meals per day, type of operation, available site footprint, and existing infrastructure — then design the best temporary kitchen configuration for your needs. From a single production trailer to a full 5-Wide facility with dedicated warewashing and cold storage, every unit is built to your specifications.
