Beginning on November 23rd, 2015, the University of Georgia’s Hotel and Conference Center underwent extensive renovation. In order to accommodate hotel guests, conferees and other catered events on campus, they were in need of a fully functional kitchen facility to serve groups of up to 500 people.
With a contract award on October 28th, Kitchen Corps delivered, set-up and had operational a 2,250 Sq Ft fully loaded kitchen facility by November 16, 2015. Our facility provided a production area, preparation area, dish washing area, dry storage and cold storage Event Services Mobile Kitchen.
The food service was able to continue operations flawlessly for 6+ months during the renovation. As Facilities Director, Emily Newdow states, “We’re feeding around 2,000 meals a day through four different dining spots on campus – and for the amount of meals we have to execute per day, the kitchen is phenomenal.”
