In August 2011, Brandon Weldon joined the Kitchen Corps, Inc. team as the designer and he has been providing technical drawings for our temporary kitchen facilities as well as marketing graphics for the company for the past four years. We asked him a few questions to get to know him better.

How did you first learn about Kitchen Corps?

Family friends own the company and I grew up with our current sales manager, Sarah Graupmann and her sister Megan McClain. I actually worked for the company when I was around 14 / 15 years old and then joined full time in 2011 as the designer.

What is your role and responsibilities with Kitchen Corps?

I am responsible for all of the design work as well as the marketing graphic design work. I also do project management and assist with sales as well.

If you could switch your job with anyone else within Kitchen Corps, whose job would you want and why?

I wouldn’t want to switch. Designing and anything to do with art is what I’m most passionate about.

What are 3 words to describe Kitchen Corps?

Family. Pride. Commitment.

Favorite project you’ve worked on with Kitchen Corps and why?

Hashi Food Truck because I was involved in every aspect of the build and I get to see the truck in action because the owner does business locally around Hampton Roads.

Proudest moment at Kitchen Corps?

Final completion of the Brooke Army Medical Facility, a 9,000 sq. ft. temporary facility. This was a large project I was involved with from the start just as the designer and ended up becoming the project manager of the project. There were many hurdles and obstacles during the building and my perseverance got me through it.
